Overview

An Eternal City icon for two centuries, the historic Hotel de Russie has long been a favorite of artists, writers, politicians, and celebrities—even called “paradise on earth” by French poet Jean Cocteau in 1917. Today, the luxury hotel is still an elegant oasis in the heart of Rome. Conveniently located between two of the city’s most famous piazzas—Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo—the hotel is a destination in and of itself. Explore the stunning, tiered Secret Garden lush with roses and orange trees, sip an aperitivo at Stravinskij Bar, and enjoy fine Italian cuisine at Le Jardin de Russie. Rooms and suites reflect the hotel’s classical-meets-cosmopolitan aesthetic and feature original artworks, antique furniture, and contemporary accents.

Map & Location

Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport (FCO) and Ciampino International Airport (CIA) are approximately 30–45 minutes from Hotel de Russie. Both are easily accessed by airport train or shuttle, public transportation, or taxi, and the hotel can help arrange private transportation. Hotel de Russie is conveniently located in the heart of the Eternal City, within easy walking distance of many major points of interest, which is molto fantastico as Rome is best explored on foot. We do not recommend renting a car.
