Overview
Home to Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run—some of the most renowned golf courses in the world—The American Club is the picture of elegance. A full century ago, Walter Kohler, son of the original Kohler Co. founder, built the main Tudor-style inn as an employee residence, complete with a pub, bowling alley, and barbershop. In 1981, the dormitory was transformed into an elegant full-service hotel. Today, The American Club boasts four award-winning championship golf courses, which have played host to three PGA Championships and the US Senior Open. With nine distinguished restaurants, recreational activities, and Kohler Waters Spa—one of only 56 spas in the world to earn a Forbes Five Star Award—there’s no shortage of things to do at this AAA Five Diamond Award-winning resort.
