Overview
A Buenos Aires institution, the Alvear Palace Hotel has hosted dignitaries, celebrities, and other discerning travelers since 1932. The hotel first opened its doors to attract the growing number of upscale European travelers visiting Buenos Aires; that influence still thrives throughout the sophisticated space. Staff members trained via the Union Internationale Des Concierges D'Hotels Les Clefs d´Or greet guests upon arrival. French flourishes such as Louis XVI-style furniture, crystal accents, and walls adorned in gold leaf glisten at every turn. Swim in the indoor pool, dine at the on-site restaurants, or indulge in a pampering session at the spa.

Map & Location
Buenos Aires is one of South America's busiest cities, making it easy to reach. Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE), also known as Ezeiza International Airport, services flights from all over the world. It's about a 45-minute drive to your hotel. Aeroparque Jorge Newbery airport (AEP) is just 15 minutes away and offers connections to other Argentine and South American cities. Note that American, Canadian and Australian citizens must pay a "reciprocity fee" prior to arriving in Argentina and must present a printed receipt of this fee to Immigration Control at the airport. This fee can be paid online and your hotel concierge is happy to assist.
Traffic in Buenos Aires is intense, so we don't recommend driving. The city is pedestrian-friendly and taxis are easy to hail. Your hotel concierge can also arrange private transportation or a taxi for you. Be sure that your taxi driver turns the meter on when you begin your drive and off when it ends.
