Overview
Originally built in the 12th century, Palazzo Avino is a stately sun-bleached hotel nestled in what was once known as the aristocratic quarter of Ravello during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. A few of the structure’s original rooms remain to this day, including the entrance hall and a small bathroom in the restaurant. Dine at Rossellinis, a Michelin-starred restaurant, or retreat to the heated outdoor pool to bask in the sun. The hotel is perched about 1,000 feet above the sandy coves along the Mediterranean Sea; a complimentary shuttle whisks guests to and from the hotel’s exclusive Clubhouse by the Sea, a 15-minute drive away. Here, you can enjoy access to beach platforms alongside a small swimming pool as well as the casual Clubhouse Restaurant.

Map & Location
The closest major airport to the Amalfi Coast is Naples International Airport (NAP), about 45 miles away from the town of Amalfi itself. You can also reach the Amalfi Coast via train from Rome. If you plan on staying around the Amalfi Coast for the duration of your vacation, we don’t recommend renting a car—the roads are narrow and steep, and parking can be hard to find.
